ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE

  • Alzheimer’s disease is the most common age-related neurodegenerative disorder, characterized by the progressive degeneration of neuronal populations and the simultaneous loss of memory and cognitive functions.Aged mice naturally develop cognitive deficits and ultimately Alzheimer’s symptoms.

    AGED MICE model

Among all the models which focus on one aspect of the disease, the Aged mice model is probably the most representative of the human disease. In that sense, it is one of the most powerful models to test multiple pathways therapeutics.

  • Compound testing

Cognitive enhancers and disease modifiers are usually tested in this model but other treatments could also be considered. Please feel free to contact us to discuss the feasibility of your study.
